Detriot Pistons game debut.
The pistons won there first home opener in for the first time in years , five years to be exact. Greg Monroe was dominating inside out. Moose (Greg Monroe) had 24 and 16. They couldn't keep the pistons outside the paint. Paint points were 56 - 28 in favor of the pistons. Josh Smith debut with pistons was surprising. He shot 66%. He is not a usually player to have a sky high percent. He add 5 rebs and 5 asts. Chauncey Billups must have drank from the fountain of youth. Mr Big Shot is all you have to know. He dug them out a hole when the wizards came close with 1:30mins. Kcp add so-so rookie debut 9 pts, 2ast, and 2 stls. The pistons playeed without Bjennings and Stuckey. Brandon with hairline fracture of mandible.
The Development.
To win against Okalohama would be a big step for Detroit confidence and chemistry. To beat one of the top-tier team in the nba which are also from west. Which is arguable the better conference. They also have two all star players. Kevin Durant which is the closes to unstoppable it would mean a lot. A team with one lose. It is very unexpected for a middle-tier team to beat a championship worthy team.
The Evolution of Drummond and Monroe
They are one best post players combination in the league and history. Together they avg 23 rebs. They are a great combo. Greg has the outside touch which ever combo needs. Andre is expanding his game. For now he is the inside guy. He grabs rebounds and puts it in. He also developed a post hook which is making he better on the Offense end.
How Andre Drummond is playing scary. The reason it is frighting because he is so young. Also he leads the league in offense rebounds. Also
Andre Drummond finishes with 31 points, 19 boards and 6 steals. First player in the company of Hakeem Olajuwon since 1990 to do so. To be in the same company of hall of famer it is good to know. Andre Drummond is going be a problem in the league for years to come. Also joins an additional hall of famer Barkley as only players to record 30+pts on 80+% FG% plus 18+rebs & 5+ stls (since stls recorded in '73-74). Can`t belive he is only 20
Josh Smith the profound player set up to have a great season. Was benched against the hawks. He didn`t started and didn`t get much playing time. The reason was because he was late for practice. You got to cut Josh some slack. First of all they were in ATL. Second his home town which he left this off season. Third he didn`t know there was practice. But Mo Cheeks is not a answered standing person. He played his second year small forward Kyle Singler.
To have 3 superior defenders on the court. Which are all tremendous shot blockers. It matters if the front court can thrive together defenselessly and offensively. The fact Greg and Andre are there that means they are getting buckets down low. When you add Josh to the equation. The are scary. They score out side with Josh and Greg. Then all three in the paint. Then you add key players/role players. For example Bj, Billups, and Kcp. All this team needs is chemistry and then they are on the road to the playoffs.
Jennings has 6 games with double digit assists. From Nov 22 to Sun Dec 1 he has had 61 assists in 6 games. Jennings evolving in to a true point guard. Passing first instead of shooting first. Also keeping his turnovers low averaging in this stretch. The pistons will thrive. For example when he is leading the team in double digit assists they beat teams by tremendous scores. They beat Phi and Mil by more then 15.
